What do these two keto lunch recipes have in common? The essence of each of them is stuffing the leaves with juicy and fatty meat. Cabbage rolls keto and keto dolma are ideal for a hearty meal. Keto cabbage rolls

An amazing dish that came to us from Eastern Europe. As a rule, it is prepared from minced meat and rice wrapped in cabbage leaves. However, there are many variations. For example, “minced” vegetables are used, or buckwheat is added instead of rice.

  • 500 grams of minced meat
  • 200 grams of cauliflower
  • 200 grams of cabbage leaves
  • 3 large garlic cloves
  • Spices and salt
  • Butter or oil for frying

Preparation

Wash the cauliflower and separate the stems from the inflorescences.

Next, mix the minced meat with spices and salt.

Peel and chop the garlic, add it to the minced meat.

If your macros balance allows, you can add some fried onions to make the keto dinner recipe more flavorful.

Mix the cauliflower with the minced meat and the filling is ready.

Next, you need to wrap portions of the mince in cabbage leaves and form keto cabbage rolls. To do this, put the leaves on the surface for cooking and put the minced meat in it. The amount of filling depends on the size of the sheet, but the average will be slightly less than your fist. The main thing is to tightly wrap the minced meat in a cabbage leaf, it should not fall apart.

Put them in a saucepan and place in a preheated 150-180 degree oven for about 40 minutes. For this time the meat should get prepared, and the cabbage become soft.

You can also cook keto cabbage rolls on the stove. But this should be done on a small fire and with adding a bit water. So the cabbage won’t burn on the bottom.

Keto stuffed grape leaves are another great recipe for keto dinner idea. It is native to the Middle East. The dish is popular in a really large area. So dolma or keto stuffed grape leaves are quite common in Transcaucasia, the Balkan Peninsula, Central and Central Asia, Africa.

Grape leaves and cabbage are usually used as the cover for dolma. There are also variants of stuffed vegetables or apples. Filling for dolma consists of minced meat and cereals, nuts or onions can also be added.

keto stuffed grape leaves

Ingredients

Recipe for 10 small servings of keto stuffed grape leaves.

  • 500 g minced meat (beef or pork)
  • 1 egg
  • 200 grams grape leaves (20 leaves medium)
  • 50 g tomato puree
  • Salt, pepper
  • Herbage
  • Glass of water

Preparation

The keto stuffed grape leaves recipe starts with mixing the mince with spices and an egg. Divide the filling into 10 parts.

Then put two grape leaves on a cutting board so that their edges overlap each other. Put the minced meat on the leaves. Then roll everything up like a roll.
